
OHJA MEDAL FINALS
OHJA Medal Finals
OHJA Medal classes are for equitation riders who seek to compete at the highest level within their respective divisions (2’6”, 3’, 3’3”, and 3’6”). Riders who qualify by attaining enough points throughout the year are eligible to compete in the OHJA Medals Finals competition that takes place at the end of each horse show season. Medal Finals allow riders to apply their riding skills and test their horsemanship knowledge in this competitive program.
Medal Classes
OHJA Foundation Medal: Fence height not to exceed 2’3”.
OHJA Mini Medal: Fence height not to exceed 2’6”.
OHJA Children's Medal: Fence height not to exceed 3'.
OHJA Adult Amateur Medal: Fence height not to exceed 3'.
OHJA Low Junior/Senior Medal: Fence height 3’3”.
OHJA Junior/Senior Medal: Fence height 3'6".
Year-End Medal Championships: High-Point awards will be given to the rider accumulating the largest number of OHJA medal points at each Medal height (e.g., Foundation, Mini, Child/Adult, etc.). Points will begin accruing after Medal Finals and accrue through the last show held prior to the show hosting Medal Finals. The Board reserves the right to combine or split divisions. Points accumulated as follows: (a) 1st – 10 points; (b) 2nd – 6 points; (c) 3rd – 4 points; (d) 4th –2points; (e) 5th –1points; and (f) 6th – 1⁄2 point.

OHJA Jumper Medal
The OHJA Jumper Medal is introductory for the 2025 competition year. There will be a Medal Final for the OHJA Jumper Medal in this introductory year. To qualify for Medal Final a rider must earn 5 points or have 3 attempts.
