Medal Finals Competition

The OHJA Medal Finals competition is hosted each year near the end of the horse show season. In addition to the jumping competition, all Medal Finals participants must complete a written test, the results of which will count toward the final score of each competitor.

In addition to knowledge from practical experience, reference materials for the written tests include the following:

United States Pony Club Manuals of Horsemanship (Levels D and C)
Current USEF Rule Book
Current OHJA Rule Book

The USEF Manual of Horsemanship (Level A/B) should also be used as a reference for the Junior/Senior written test. If you have any questions regarding the Medal Finals, please contact a board member.

The OHJA Medal Finals is one of OHJA’s major fundraising events. Members are encouraged to donate sponsorships to support the Medal Finals competition. Donations are tax deductible! Please check with your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your donation.
