The Gala is coming up this weekend, so get ready to show us what you've got. Put on your best duds so that you look fabulous for our papparazzo when you strut down the red carpet.

We want everyone to come to the Gala prepared to do some serious bidding this year at the Annual OHJA Silent Auction.
Here is a list of some of the items that we have lined up for this year.
The first of the evenings auctions will close starting at 7:00. Various tables will continue to close throughout the evening every 20 minutes. You will want to make sure to arrive by 5:00 to have plenty of time to view all the items before dinner to make your bidding plans for the evening.
Remember that this is a MAJOR fundraiser for OHJA with proceeds going toward the Junior Equestrian Fund's scholarship programs, Year End Awards, and on going OHJA operations. Also, if you have spoken with Sam Shahbazi about donating an item for this year's auction, please call her at 503-320-6137 or email her at shahbazi.sameera@gmail.com to let her know exactly what your item is and how to arrange dropping it off to her.
Sam is also willing to pick up the items for you. She needs to either have the items or a description of the items by Friday January 6th AND confirmation that the items will be brought to the banquet no later than 4:00 the afternoon of the event.

The Marriott is currently renovating their Lobby, so please follow the following directions to get to the correct entrance:
Coming Northbound on I-5: Take City Center/Naito Parkway exit. Go through 3 stoplights (Road Turns into Clay Street). Turn right on 2nd Ave, take next right onto Columbia Street for 1.5 block. Hotel Entrance is mid-block on the Right side of Columbia Street, after 1st Avenue.
Traveling Southbound on I-5: Exit #300B (OMSI/City Center). Stay in the right lane and follow the City Center signs. You will cross the Morrison Bridge. Stay to the right over the bridge and take the Naito Parkway exit. This exit will place you heading South on Naito Parkway. Follow 9 blocks down to Clay Street and take a right. Follow 2 blocks and take a right on 2nd Street. Follow 1 block and Take a right on Columbia Street. Hotel Entrance is mid-block on the right side of Columbia Street (after crossing 1st Avenue).
From the Airport: Take Airport Way East to I-205 South. Take I-84 West to the City Center (City Center/Oregon City) exit, continue to follow signs to City Center. Cross Morrison Bridge, stay in right lane and take Naito Parkway exit and turn right. Continue on Naito Parkway ½ mile. Turn right on Clay Street – continue on Clay Street for 2 blocks. Turn right on 2nd Ave, take next right onto Columbia Street for 1.5 block. Hotel Entrance is mid-block on the Right side of Columbia Street, after 1st Avenue.
Guests staying at the hotel overnight are guaranteed valet parking for $30 per night.
Guests who are not staying at the hotel may also use valet parking services,if they are available, at the rate of $8 per hour, maximum of $30.
Self Parking options in the area are abundant, but the best would be the Crown Plaza Parking Garage located on Clay Street between 1st and 2nd. This is kitty corner from the Marriott with a sky bridge that goes from the garage to the 3rd floor of the Marriott. Just press "LL1" in the elevator from the third floor in the hotel to get to the Gala. Rates can fluctuate but are generally less than $10 for the evening.
