Medal Finals Competition
The OHJA Medal Finals competition is hosted each year near the end of the horse show season. In addition to the jumping competition, all Medal Finals participants must complete a written test, the results of which count toward the final score of each competitor.
Preparation for the Medal Finals is crucial to success! There is a written portion to the finals. Visit our Prepare/Study page for more information.
The OHJA Medal Finals is one of OHJA’s major fundraising events. Members are encouraged to sponsor or donate to support the Medal Finals competition, and to encourage outside sponsorship from businesses that support Oregon’s hunter/jumper community. The OHJA is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law; please consult with your tax adviser for more information. Junior Equestrian Fund
The Junior Equestrian Fund (JEF) was established by OHJA to provide financial assistance to young riders, twenty-one (21) or younger, who compete at regional and national Medal Finals or other Finals classes, including the Young Rider and USET.
Eligible riders must participate in fundraising activities to add money to this fund. Applicants must
have actively participated in the fundraising activities in the current year and must make a formal application to the OHJA Board. Funds are approved and awarded after the young rider attends a Medal Finals or Finals classes based upon several factors, including availability of funds, number of applicants, and demonstrated commitment to OHJA fundraising
If you would like to apply for assistance, please complete the Junior Equestrian Fund Request below. For more information regarding the application process or if you would like to get more involved, please contact the JEF Advisor.
