2009 Portland Outdoor Store (Senior Sportsman of the Year) Sportsmanship Award

Dear Kathy and OHJA Board,

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I am writing to you, in order to nominate Patty Shannon for the OHJA Senior Sportsman Award. Patty is without a doubt one of the hardest working volunteers I have every come across. She is tireless in the way she willingly offers assistance to people who need it, often working behind the scenes and without any public recognition. Patty has also as you know, taken on many public positions for OHJA and has always been extremely professional, not to mention diplomatic in every role.

Patty’s contributions to OHJA and the equestrian sport in the Pacific Northwest are invaluable, her dedication and work ethic are second to none and her southern charm is delightful and so it is my pleasure to ask the OHJA board to award Patty Shannon the Senior Sportsman award for 2009.
